We love working with the Armfield Civic & Rec Center! The staff are very positive and encourage any ideas that benefit the community. We have been able to set up storywalks and poetry displays in the park. And last month we had a pool party for the participants of the summer library programs!
Nice place to hang it, play some ball and enjoy the scenery. There are lots of picnic tables and they keep the area clean and with empty trash cans. They are constantly improving and maintaining the parks.
Love the trails here! Little gem of pilot mountain.
They welcomed us as we walked in. The space that we used was large and spacious. Great for showers and large parties. They even offer pool parties. Great location easy to find. Staff was very professional. Plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessible. His and her restrooms. They have alot of activities for seniors and youth.
Another great workout but there are quite a few things that are broken. If equipment is broken, mark it and fix it or remove it. If 3 out of 5 medicine balls are blown out, don’t let them sit there damaged. If the jump rope is broken, replace it. This facility is now owned by the city of Pilot Mountain and it does not look well. There is a big issue will unruly children that run the halls not watched.
Just got talked to extremely disrespectfully by someone who teaches a dance class there, if you can believe that!. The class was on the far side of the gym. The person I was with ran 1 lap around the gym last Wed. and 1 lap today. The "instructor" said they were supposed to put a sign up, well since nobody there ever follows through with anything how is it OUR fault. And a liability by jogging, give me a break! This person doesn't even work there much less has ANY right to confront and talk to paying members like that! Who the heck does this person think she is, we actually come and contribute on a daily basis! The person I was with wants to quit now. Way to allow your members to be treated terribly! Any good business would at least make the person apologize to the Members!
Loved it! I was visiting from out of town and dropped in for a quick workout. Great facility and equipment. They have freeweights and machines. They also have an indoor swimming pool. Basketball courts. Indoor track. Cardio room. And very friendly staff and $5 day pass. Definitely recommend if you're in town!
This Park is a nice park. It's fenced in and my family enjoys it. It is also in need of repair badly. The slides and metal parts to equipment need repainting and all but one of the swings an adult can swing on or broken. Our girls are playing as I write this and they are having fun and I'm grateful for this place but this small Park is in dire need of some improvements. Some paint and a few new parts would really transform this Park.
Went in to talk with someone about what type programs they offered. My insurance covers a year gym membership & I for real need to get in somewhere I think I will feel welcomed and comfortable. I most likely go join there tomorrow or Tuesday.
My brother runs the place... His name's Jay, he's a cool dood and advocates for kids programs (especially sports). Use to be a member back in 2008, the gym was nice and the multi purpose room can be used for a wide variety of things. Just don't go during the usual "after work" rush, it's asses and elbows in there.
